Utility spaces and garages should be placed to shield the house from cold winter winds. In snowy climates, put garage and house entries on a sunny exposure to help melt snow. In many US climates, an inside corner facing southeast provides outdoor space sheltered from cold northwest winds. Put windbreaks between the house and cold winds, and cut trees which block summer breezes and desirable sun.
Other items include land slope contours and the property orientation in reference to true north. Boring test are also indicated to explain soil conditions if necessary. Building designers are able to complete the house site plan by adding the footprint of the home to the map. The land conditions can be adjusted accordingly from there.
The designer spent weeks or month developing the designs, so he is familiar with every aspect of the building. This puts the designer in a better position to provide a solution to place your home on the lot. With that kind of insight, the designer will consider things such as slope conditions, solar conditions, and other design considerations in reference to your home that may be missed by others.
The country houses around the world are characterized by different elements. For example, a typical country house in England must have a well kept garden, while in Germany, country houses have a basement and a fireplace with gable roof.In Russia and some parts of Scandinavia, having a sauna in a country house is indispensable. In the United States and Canada, a porch with a small terrace is very important.
